Retail outlets attract buyers and tenants

A significaNt minority of the 47 Irish Nationwide branches around the country have gone sale agreed says a spokesman for agents DTZ Sherry FitzGerald. He declined to say if these include the landmark branch on O'Connell St, Dublin.

He added that the Budget has not yet significantly impacted demand which had already been healthy.

Capel St lettings

TWO unrelated properties in Capel St, Dublin 1 have been let out at rents averaging €177.30 per sqm by agents Vincent Finnegan.

Phorest, a software firm servicing hairdressers, is taking the 520sqm. at 100 Capel St at an annual rent of €80,000. The landlord, a marketing company called Design Factory, has moved to a smaller premises in Portobello, Dublin 8.

Meanwhile Modova, an eastern European convenience store, is taking the 185sqm of retail space at 38 Capel St at a rent of €45,000pa.
