The deadline is approaching for applicants for the Property Excellence Awards, with the cut off at the end of this month.
Jim Clery is head of real estate for KPMG Ireland and a judge at the awards. He believes they will play a crucial role in getting the construction centre on the move again, after spending the last several years in the doldrums.
"The real estate sector performs a vital role in Ireland's social and economic infrastructure. From providing office space to help maintain our appeal as a great place to do business, to the supply of housing for our citizens - real estate matters.
"The planning, design, funding, construction and maintenance of our real estate helps determine the Ireland in which we live, work and retire.
"Quality and excellence in real estate impacts every sector from education and healthcare to business and leisure.
"These awards are designed to recognise excellence across the sector and to highlight how real estate impacts positively on our country.
"They acknowledge all of the most important aspects of a successful and sustainable real estate sector - from the highest standards of architecture and environmental awareness to financing, planning and building. KPMG are proud to be associated with these awards.
"They recognise both the businesses and the people whose vision, professionalism and commitment to quality will help secure the position of real estate as valuable component in Ireland's future," Mr Clery added.
