New research head at BNPPRE
Joan Henry has been appointed as Head of Research for BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland.
In a statement, BNP Paribas Real Estate said Ms Henry is a "well respected within the industry for her work in real estate research and has developed a successful career and reputation over the years to establish herself as one of the foremost real estate economists in Ireland".
On graduating in Economics and a Masters in Economic Sciences from University College Dublin, Joan was research assistant for Peter Sutherland, the ex-European Commissioner & then Chairman of Allied Irish Bank before taking up positions as management consultant in KPMG and economist in Bank of Ireland in the 1990's.
She then joined Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a business consultant prior to joining Savills Ireland in 2005.
Ms Henry set up and managed the research department at Savills Ireland producing research reports for use by clients, internally and for the media.
Key deliverables included regular inputs and insights into the strategic direction and commercial decisions of the real estate market based on continuous analysis of key market trends.
In BNP Paribas Real Estate, the production of quarterly and annual reports on the Irish investment market and key occupier sectors will be a fundamental part of the role along with the production of the Ireland sections for our group annual research reports, production of economic and market reports for clients including institutional & privates, banks, receivers, etc , and to provide detailed market analysis on the rapidly changing real estate market in Ireland.
She will also be part of the BNP Paribas Real Estate International Research team and will have the benefit of support from our 50+ strong pan-European Research team headed up by Christophe Pineau.
