Green office space demand to increase

Donal Buckley

Demand for office space in green buildings looks set to increase as new buildings will need to legally comply with the EU directive on Near Zero Energy Buildings from 2020 and state agencies will have to focus their searches to green buildings from the end of next year.

These are among the topics to be addressed by a Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) seminar on Green Lease Clauses next Thursday, September 14, at 6 pm at the society's HQ at 38 Merrion Square in Dublin 2.

The seminar, which will be chaired by Eamonn Maguire, will hear from a working group led by property arbitrator Brian Meldon.
