Banking giant Goldman Sachs is amongst a list of bidders that successfully met a deadline for bids on Dublin's landmark Gresham Hotel on O'Connell Street.

Four bidders have made final offers on the hotel of up to €85m.

Outside of Goldman Sachs, Spain's Riyu Hotel Group and private equity firms Apollo and Cerberus are both listed as having made bids for the hotel. according to reports in Irish Times.

The four-strong list of bidders will await a verdict, expected to take a week, as to who the successful party is.

The four-star hotel is being sold by Precint Investments, a company controlled by homebuilder Bryan Cullen.
