Former SAC boss signs up with Green for lease at St James Square
Green Property has leased the first floor of its 8 St James's Square development in London to Point 72, the family office of founder and chairman Steven A Cohen.
Mr Cohen is best known as head of his hedge fund SAC Capital.
Point 72 Asset Management will be paying a rent of £147.50 per square foot for the whole of the 7,000 square foot first floor at 8 St James's Square.
The development is designed by architect Eric Parry, and delivers high quality office accommodation over its lower ground to sixth floors.
Green Property director Mike Tapp said: "We are pleased to welcome Point 72 to 8 St James's Square, where they will join Societe Generale and the private office of Helly Nahmed, who have already agreed to move there.
"Our strategy all along has been to appeal to private family offices, banks, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and commodities traders, and it is rewarding to see that plan bearing fruit."
The proeprty at 8 St James's Square totals 65,000 sq ft, and, according to Green, each floor benefits from exceptional views over St James's Square as well as column free space.
The lower ground, ground, second, third and fourth floors remain available to lease.
CBRE and Knight Frank represent Green Property at 8 St James's Square; Knight Frank represented Point 72.
