Almost 20,000 sq ft of penthouse office space at 1 Grand Canal Square has been let
Just under 20,000 sq ft of penthouse office space with an annual rent of €1.1m has been let in the heart of Dublin's IFSC by US firm Citadel Securities.
According to a report in The Irish Times, Irish real estate company Iput successfully rented the property at €60 per sq ft, matching a price high last seen before the crash.
Iput's chief executive Niall Gaffney said the lease represented a signal of confidence in the Irish office market following the UK's decision to leave the European Union.
Citadel is involved in fixed income and equity securities and had over €22bn of capital ready to invest at the start of July.
The investment firm announced earlier in the year that it would be setting up in Dublin to support its existing European HQ in London.
