Ahoy there! The Yacht Bar re-opens
The Yacht Bar in Loughshinny, on the north Dublin coast, has been re-opened by Declan Cloonan after being closed for about a year.
Mr Cloonan is a son of the man who originally built The Yacht about 80 years ago and subsequently sold it about 60 years later through Dublin estate agent John P Younge.
It is understood the most recent sale grossed about €400,000 for a financial institution. This latest sale is the third time Mr Younge has handled its sale in the last 20 years.
Mr Younge also reports the re-opening of Errigal House at 36 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 by local businessman Joseph Farrell. He has rebuilt it as a guest house with 10 en suite bedrooms. It had been brought to the market last year at virtually site value.
It is believed to have been bought for more than €300,000.
