Investors looking for their own piece of Ireland's hugely-successful 'Wild Atlantic Way' will have the chance to stake their claim this coming Tuesday when one of the Aran Islands most prominent commercial properties comes up for auction.
Located just beside the harbour in Kilronan, on the island of Inishmore, An tSean Cheibh benefits from impressive daily footfall throughout the year owing to the significant numbers of tourists arriving to the island by boat, and by air from Connemara Regional Airport. Inishmore is served with daily flights by Aer Arann.
In operation since 1974, An tSean Cheibh, which overlooks the main pier in Kilronan, is comprised of a large restaurant premises, takeaway, kitchens, cold room, freezer room, toilet facilities and an outside seating area.
Galway-based auctioneers O'Donnellan & Joyce are offering the property for sale in their Wild Atlantic Way autumn auction in four lots.
Lot 1 comprises the restaurant and takeaway with an AMV of €175,000. Lot 2 is a substantial development site neighbouring An tSean Cheibh with an AMV of €100,000 and Lot 3 is a cottage, also neighbouring an tSean Cheibh and comes with an AMV of €25,000.
Lot number 4 will consist of lots 1, 2 and 3 together, and in the event of it exceeding the individual bids received, then the property will be sold in its entirety.
Colm O'Donnellan of O'Donnellan & Joyce said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for an owner or investor looking for a high-profile property with incredible commercial opportunity."
The Wild Atlantic Way auction begins at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 27, at the Harbour Hotel, on Galway's New Dock Road.
