The second phase of the New Mill student housing scheme in Dublin's Liberties has been announced by the UK-headquartered student accommodation specialists GSA (Global Student Accommodation Group) and its joint-venture partners, Harrison Real Estate Capital ("Harrison Street").

Scheduled to open by summer 2018, New Mill II will offer 296 beds and serve students attending universities in Dublin city centre and its immediate environs. The property is located immediately adjacent to GSA and Harrison Real Estate Capital's 400-bed New Mill project, which is due to open for the upcoming autumn academic term.

In 2015, GSA and Harrison Street announced their intention to invest €250m in student accommodation in Dublin over the next five years.

To date, they have some 1,900 beds in operation or under construction in Dublin.

These include 101 student beds at Broadstone Hall which was refurbished and reopened in September 2016, the 491-bed Kavanagh Court and the 400-bed Uninest New Mill which are due to open this September, and the 571-bed Brunswick Street and 296-bed New Mill II, both of which are due to open in 2018.
