Site owners in nursing home planning switch
Dublin sites for nursing homes are currently valued at between €25,000 and €35,000 per bed and these valuations are encouraging site owners to seek a change of planning permission from apartments to nursing homes.
Price of industrial unit is slashed by €270k
The price of an industrial unit at Millennium Business Park in north west Dublin has been almost halved from €545,000 to €275,000. The 274sqm Unit 21 comes with 126.5sqm of offices spread over two floors, as well as a mezzanine space and 147sqm of warehouse.
City centre offices available from €300 per sqm
Office rents in some Dublin city centre developments have fallen by more than 40pc from peak and now range from between €300 and €430 per sqm depending on the landlord, agent, terms and location.
A jobs boost for surveyor graduates
Employment prospects have improved in the property surveying sector, with a number of agencies recruiting. Bannon's are seeking two graduate surveyors for its retail agency and asset management services. CB Richard Ellis recently recruited 10 surveyors for its valuation department.
Market is close to bottom -- JLL index
The latest index from agents Jones Lang LaSalle suggests that the Irish commercial property market is closer to the bottom than previously anticipated. It shows an even better rate of slowdown than that shown by the SCS/IPD index issued last week.

Bang, the restaurant which has been operated by the Stokes Twins on Merrion Row, Dublin, has its sub lease for sale on the instructions of the liquidator, Tom Murray of Friel Stafford.
Pace of decline in property values eases
The value of Irish commercial property has fallen 55.6pc from its September 2007 peak but the pace of decline has slowed.
A healthy lease deal agreed at CityNorth
Pascal Keogh's Millmount Healthcare Limited has agreed to take a 25-year lease on a 4,046sqm (43,550sq ft) unit at the CityNorth Business Campus, near Exit 7 of the M1 in Stamullen, Co Meath.
BNP predicts recovery in European market
