Carlow tillage land sparks lively bidding
A 45AC field at Garrettstown, Rathvilly, Co Carlow was sold last week after being withdrawn from auction.
Under a tillage crop at present, the land is described by Matthew Conry of REA Dawson, Tullow as superb arable tillage lands located three miles from Rathvilly and four miles from Baltinglass.
The property was guided at €10,000/ac and it attracted the attention of three bidders after it opened at €350,000 at auction.
After steadily increasing increments of €10,000, the property was withdrawn from auction at €560,000.
It was sold immediately afterwards for a higher figure to the highest bidder, a local farmer.
