Noonan and Howlin release pre-Budget videos
FINANCE Minister Michael Noonan and public expenditure minister Brendan Howlin have released pre-Budget videos ahead of their official speeches tomorrow.
The two short videos were uploaded to the official government news website MerrionStreet.ie – but unsurprisingly do not go into too much detail about what we might expect.
Instead, the two men focus strongly on the positives, with Mr Noonan confirming that Ireland will leave the EU-IMF bailout by the end of the year, and that 3,000 jobs are being created per month.
However, Mr Howlin warns that it is a “given” that the Budget will not be easy.
