Duffy braced for flood of angry calls

BROADCASTER Joe Duffy is prepared for a barrage of angry callers as the full impact of Budget 2013 hits home.

"We've already been getting loads of calls about it for months now. It's very, very tough," he said.

Meanwhile, TV3 presenter Anna Daly, who is expecting her second child, said it is especially difficult for women in Ireland.

"Maternity leave is obviously specific to me and that's been hit hard," she said.

Commenting on the €1 increase on the price of a bottle of wine, the 'Ireland AM' anchor said: "That's really going to hit home for publicans. It could prevent people from going out to dinner as well.

"I'd be very worried for restaurants too."
