Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are due to visit a rebuilt palace as they continue their tour of Germany.
The royal sisters will learn about the project to restore the early 19th century royal residence in Hanover, destroyed by Allied bombing during the Second World War.
The Princesses are on a two-day tour of Germany promoting the UK as part of the Great Campaign - a global initiative to attract visitors, business and students to the UK.
On Thursday they visited Berlin where they drove a Mini through the German capital to launch a project that will see the iconic car travel to every region of the European nation showcasing the very best of British.
During their day in Hanover, the Princesses will also visit a university equine clinic and meet teenage cancer patients at Hanover University of Medicine.
Beatrice and Eugenie will join a painting session with the young people and local artist Rainer Mork.
