Obama faces tough challenges ahead
Saturday January 17 2009
The incoming American President has said the enormous challenges facing the US will not be solved quickly.
Barack Obama has set off on a three-state tour to Washington from Philadelphia.
He's mirroring Abraham Lincoln's historic 1861 journey by train.
Millions of people are descending on Washington for Obama's swearing in ceremony on Tuesday.
The President-elect said patience will be required as his new administration deals with the economic crisis, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and violence in the Middle East.
