Minor quake rattles LA buildings

Buildings in central Los Angeles were left shaking by a minor earthquake

A minor earthquake has rattled southern California, shaking buildings in central Los Angeles.

The US Geological Survey says the 3.9-magnitude quake struck at 8:24am and was centred about five miles east-southeast of Santa Clarita.

Shaking was felt across the Santa Clarita Valley, in central Los Angeles and in West Hollywood.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
