Panthers maintain lead over Giants

Nottingham Panthers remain two points clear of second-placed Belfast

Nottingham Panthers and Belfast Giants continue to set the pace at the top of the Elite League standings after both recorded away victories on Sunday night.

Leaders Nottingham saw off third-placed Sheffield Steelers 4-2 to remain two points clear of second-placed Belfast, who beat Coventry Blaze 2-0 to record their fourth successive win.

Sunday night's other two games were high-scoring affairs, with Edinburgh Capitals scoring six times in the opening period before downing Hull Stingrays 9-5 while Dundee Stars saw off Scottish rivals Fife Flyers 6-5 after overtime.
