Hatton pays tribute to Darren Sutherland
Former world champion Ricky Hatton has paid tribute to Irish boxer Darren Sutherland following his death earlier this week.
Hatton says the 27-year-old was one of the best competitors to have emerged from last year's Olympics.
He says his death in London on Monday was "absolutely tragic" and "a sad, sad loss for boxing and, more importantly, a sad loss for his family and friends".
Meanwhile, promoter Frank Maloney has vowed to return to the sport as soon as possible after suffering shock when he discovered Sutherland's body on Monday.
Tests revealed Maloney had suffered an unrelated heart attack last Friday night.
He underwent surgery last night, but is understood to be recovering well.
