Substitute Kevin Doyle inspired Wolves to a 2-1 victory at 10-man QPR.

The Ireland international came off the bench at half-time and set up Matt Jarvis 51 seconds later, before firing home the winner.

Debutant Bobby Zamora had given QPR a deserved half-time lead, but Djibril Cisse's red card for an altercation with Roger Johnson allowed Wolves a way back into the game.

Fresh from his midweek debut goal, Cisse tested Wayne Hennessey inside four minutes before Zamora forced the Wales international to parry a fierce 20-yard drive and Adel Taarabt curled wide.

The Hoops made their dominance count in the 16th minute when Shaun Wright-Phillips held up a ball from Taarabt and laid off for Zamora to lash home.

Wolves' afternoon soon got worse when Emmanuel Frimpong limped off.

However, they received a boost after 34 minutes when Cisse reacted to Johnson's challenge by raising his hands to the defender, earning himself a straight red card.

Doyle made an immediate impact after his half-time introduction as his right-wing cross fell to Jarvis, who cut inside Luke Young and curled past Paddy Kenny.

A Steven Fletcher header rebounded off the bar moments later as Wolves upped the ante.

Wolves took a deserved lead in the 71st minute. Jamie O'Hara played the ball through to Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, who laid off for Doyle to slot home from close range.
