Two men are due in court in the North this morning charged with hijacking and kidnapping a taxi-driver in Co Monaghan on Monday night.
The men, aged 19 and 40, allegedly forced the driver to take them across the border after Gardai tried to arrest them following a raid on a house in Castleblayney.
A firearm had been seized during the raid and a 38-year-old woman was arrested, but she has since been released pending instructions from the DPP.
The two men, who were detained by the PSNI in Co Armagh after a garda pursuit, are due to be brought before Newry Magistrate's Court this morning.
