Two Lithuanian men charged with cigarette smuggling

Two Lithuanian men have been remanded on bail charged in connection with cigarette smuggling.
The 20-year-old and 30-year-old were arrested at Dublin Airport yesterday.
They were detained when customs officers intercepted them during an operation targeting cigarette smuggling from the Baltic region.
Officers discovered 32,000 L&M brand cigarettes worth almost €13,000 if sold in the shops.
They appeared before Dublin District Court and are due back in court on Friday.
Seven people have been arrested at Dublin Airport for cigarette smuggling in the past three weeks.
