Sinn Fein backs Omagh bombing inquiry
Saturday August 16 2008
Sinn Fein is backing calls for a cross-border independent inquiry into the investigation of the Omagh bombing.
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness said there are serious concerns about the way the atrocity was handled by the police.
Speaking following the civic ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the 1998 Real IRA car bombing, Mr McGuinness said, what we need to do is support the families in the demands that they are now making.
