Rate of inflation rose to 5% in November
The annual rate of inflation increased to 5% in November - up from 4.8% in October - according to figures released this afternoon by the Central Statistics Office.
The CSO figures also show that the price of clothing and footwear rose by 1.8% last month.
Fuel costs also increased, but this was partially offset by a decrease in electricity charges.
