Parents of autistic child must pay legal costs following High Court defeat
Tuesday January 29 2008
The High Court has ruled that the parents of a young boy with Autistic Spectrum Disorder will have to pay their own legal costs.
It follows a High Court ruling last year which said there was not enough evidence to back up the assertion that the education being provided to Séan O'Cuanachain was insufficient.
Cian and Yvonne O'Cuanachain's legal bill is expected to be a substantial seven figure sum.
They have appealed today's decision to the Supreme Court.
