Martin promises support for laid-off Allergan staff
Enterprise Minister Micheal Martin says every support will be given to the employees of Allergan in Co Wicklow to help them find new jobs.
The US pharmaceutical company announced today that it was closing its plant in Arklow and moving to operations to Costa Rica, where costs are lower.
More than 360 people are set to lose their jobs as a result.
Minister Martin is promising that the IDA will work to attract new investment to the region.
Meanwhile, the general manager of the Allergan plant, Paul Moody, has paid tribute to the workers and has thanked them for their dedication during the years.
