Man dies following Co. Kerry building site accident

A man died yesterday following a workplace accident in Castleisland, Co. Kerry. 29-year-old Tom Mitchell from Currow was working on a building site when a trench collapsed on top of him. The accident happened yesterday afternoon at around 4.00.

Mr Mitchell was attended to by a doctor but was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem is due to be carried out at Kerry General Hospital.
