Man charged over €6.5 million drugs seizure

A 43-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with last week's seizure of drugs worth €6.5 million by Gardaí and Customs Officers in Co. Meath.
Sean O'Sullivan, with an address at Kill Cara View, Knocknagee in Carlow appeared before Blanchardstown District Court earlier today.
He was charged with possession of cannabis resin and possession for sale or supply.
A tonne of cannabis resin was recovered by Gardaí and Customs Officers during the search of an industrial premises in Dunboyne last Thursday.
Mr. O'Sullivan was arrested in connection with the seizure on Saturday in Carlow, and is the second man to be charged in relation to the haul.
He has been remanded to Cloverhill Prison to appear in court again on September 25th.
