Man charged over attack on Dublin Bus driver

A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with an attack on a bus driver in Dublin city centre at the weekend.

Mark Dwyer, with an address at Dolphin House in Dublin 8, is charged with assault causing harm and the unauthorised taking of a vehicle.

He was arrested on Saturday night in Cork Street in Dublin's south inner city.

Garda Kevin Molyneux gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution at Dublin District Court, where Judge O' Donnell put back the case for a bail hearing this afternoon.
