Man arrested over Limerick sexual assault

Gardai in Limerick are investigating reports of a sexual assault in the city.
A young woman lodged a complaint with Gardai in the early hours of this morning.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being detained at Henry St Garda Station under section 4 of the criminal Justice Act.
Gardai say they are in the initial stages of their investigation and as a precaution have sealed off a section of O'Callaghan's Strand on the North bank of the river Shannon for a technical examination.
The woman has been sent for assessment at the sexual assault clinic in Cork.
