Limerick man remanded in custody for holding false passport
Saturday July 05 2008
A Limerick man has been charged with possessing a false passport at a special sitting of Cork District Court this morning.
Gerard Dundon from 84 Hyde Road, Limerick was arrested by Gardaí in Cork airport as he attempted to board a flight to Amsterdam.
The court heard he told Gardaí he had the false passport for his own protection and that his life was under threat.
The state objected to bail on the grounds that Dundon might abscond.
Dundon was remanded in custody to appear before the court again on Monday.
