Cutting-edge medical technologies from Northern Ireland will go on show at a global exhibition.
A total of five companies will be at the world's largest medical trade fair in Dusseldorf Germany later this month.
They showcase 3D surgical simulation systems, sensor technology, surgery training products and clinical research.
Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI trade director, said: "The Northern Ireland group indicates the strength of our life sciences and biotechnology industry.
"It's a developing industry with areas of expertise such as diagnostics, sensors, cardiac care and training systems."
Senior representatives from the University of Ulster and the Health and Social Care Innovations Centre in Belfast will be taking part in the Invest NI group stand.
Companies present include Axis Three from Belfast, which produces 2D surgical simulation systems; Biancamed, Belfast, which makes sensor technology and Endosim, Belfast, which makes surgery training products.
The trade fair is known as Medica 2009 and runs from November 18-21.
Dr Kell added: "Medica is simply the best platform for local companies to display their knowledge and expertise and to keep abreast of current trends in what is a very dynamic global industry.
"We've been organising Northern Ireland participation over many years and seen a number of local companies secure significant business."
