40 jobs lost as Ryanair announces closure of call centre
Ryanair has announced it's to close its Dublin Telesales Operation with the loss of 40 jobs.
The move is part of the airline's cost reduction programme to combat record high oil prices.
Chief Executive, Michael O' Leary says the operation will close in May because it is no longer cost competitive against a backdrop of dwindling demand for phone bookings.
Internet bookings now account for over 99% of all ticket sales.
