Gardai are investigating the death of a 47-year-old man in Co Waterford.
His body was found at a house in the Alexander Street area of Waterford city at about 7.40pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were taken to the mortuary at Waterford Regional Hospital.
A Garda spokesman said the house had been sealed off for technical examinations and the State Pathologist had been notified.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Sunday afternoon.
No further details were available.
