Pedestrian killed in two-car crash

A man in his 50s was struck by two vehicles in Parnell Square West in Dublin

A pedestrian has died after being hit by two cars in Dublin city centre.

The man, who was in his 50s, was struck by the vehicles in Parnell Square West, near the junction with Parnell Street, shortly after midnight.

He was rushed to The Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The drivers of the two cars were uninjured.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses.
