Police forensic experts at the scene of the fatal shooting in the Longlands Road area of Newtownabbey

Two men being held over the murder of Daniel McKay have been released.

A spokeswoman for the PSNI said the pair, aged 51 and 24, had been released unconditionally.

A 25-year-old man detained on Thursday was also released.

Mr McKay, a 36-year-old father of one, was shot dead at his home in the Longlands area of Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, on October 25.

His funeral was held on Friday.

Detectives investigating a drugs link said they could not rule out the involvement of dissident republican vigilante groups.
