About 150 cannabis plants were seized during a raid on a house in Dublin

A man and a woman have been arrested after a cannabis factory was discovered in a suburban house in Dublin.

Around 150 plants were seized during a raid on the property in Templeogue, a popular neighbourhood in the south of the city.

It is believed they have a street value of up to 120,000 euro.

The operation involved heating technology and irrigation systems.

A 49-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested at the scene. They were taken to Tallaght Garda station for questioning and are being held under the Drug Trafficking Act.

The operation was spearheaded by Garda officers from the Tallaght District Drug Unit, along with the Garda National Drug Unit.
