Man held after woman's flats plunge

The PSNI appealed for witnesseses after a woman fell from a block of flats in west Belfast

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman plunged from the fourth floor of a building in west Belfast.

Police received a report that the woman had fallen from a block of flats in the Springmeadow area.

She was taken to hospital for treatment for serious chest and leg injuries.

The man, aged 26, was also detained on suspicion of assault on police and resisting officers. The PSNI has appealed for witnesses.
