Man charged over pharmacy robbery

A man has been charged over an armed raid on a pharmacy

A 51-year-old man has been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a pharmacy.

A masked man threatened staff with a knife at the premises in the Clifton Street area of Belfast before making off with cash and prescription medication.

The incident occurred at around 5.20pm on Friday. Staff were left shaken but uninjured.

The man has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

He will appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.
