Four people rescued from house fire

Four people had to be rescued from a fire that broke out at a house in Clondalkin in the early hours of this morning.

The blaze occurred at Monksfield Grove at 1.40am.

Three units of Dublin Fire Brigade as well as two ambulances raced to the scene where fire crews rescued four adults from the burning house.

They were taken to Tallaght Hospital to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation as the blaze was brought under control.
