Enterprise Ireland firms record €17.1bn in exports in 2013

Enterprise Ireland supported companies recorded €17.1bn in exports last year, the state agency said today.
The companies spent €20.3bn in the Irish economy in 2013 and achieved record levels of job-creation, EI added.
EI said companies enjoyed the best performance in over a decade last year when it comes to expiry growth and net job creation.
Exports rose 8pc to €17.1bn while companies created 18,033 a net increase of 5,442 new jobs: the biggest hike in a decade.
‘These companies are contributing hugely to the performance of the Irish economy," said chief executive Julie Sinnamon. "Driving continuous innovation and export growth leading to job creation right across the country will continue to be the major focus for Enterprise Ireland over the coming years."
