Police bear the brunt of pig prank

A pig shape was added to a logo on police cars by prison inmates, officers in Vermont say
Women prisoners are being blamed for a prank that put the image of a pig in a design printed on the doors of some Vermont police cars.
Department of Corrections commissioner Andy Pallito told WCAX-TV inmates at the prison work centre in Windsor were responsible for altering the decal in 2009.
But he said a snout - or a confession - was needed to find out exactly who did the deed.
The pig in the 16in decal was first noticed by a state police trooper washing his car on February 1. One of the spots on a cow in the state crest was changed to the shape of a pig, a derogatory term for police.
State police say they believe the pig decal has been added to about 30 cruisers in the past year.
